15 Years of Givers Gain
In March, 1993, Brigitte Archer was invited to a meeting for a new referral networking group. That became Laguna Hills BNI and 15 years later, she is still a member and this year serves as President of the chapter! What has remained the same for those years is that networking and giving referrals is all about relationships. She explains, 'The BNI system provides consistency and encourages people to thrive...the system worked 15 years ago and it works now! And many things have improved with age. The biggest difference is that training has evolved to make members more successful. Also, because there are so many chapters and with the internet, members are connecting with each other and expanding their referral patterns.'
Brigitte states, 'The organization has been raised to a new level of visibility and value to its members. The foundation and essence of what BNI is, and how it works, remains the same however, Givers Gain.'

BNI Releases Year End Statistics for 2007!
It is a known fact that BNI is the largest business networking organization in the world; yet it is always exciting and inspiring to see the concrete numbers which prove it. So, without further ado, here are the official statistics for the year 2007—
As of January 2008:
Total BNI Countries: 37
Total No. of Chapters: 5,010
Total Members: 103,607
Total Referrals: 5.5 Million
Total Value of Referrals to Members: 2.2 Billion (U.S. Dollars)
It is impressive to note the solidity of the statistics for Referrals and their value, which are calculated based on TWO doctoral studies—the first done by Dr. Ivan Misner, BNI’s Founder & Chairman, and the second done in 2005 by Julien Sharp, a business consultant and BNI member from Florida. These powerfully reliable statistics are proof that networking delivered a huge pay-off for BNI members around the world in 2007!
The 2007 year-end statistics clearly speak volumes about the value of word-of-mouth networking anywhere in the world. These outstanding statistics are a great way to show the universal benefits of business networking!
